‘Forouzan’ grabs award at Melbourne City Film Awards

Iranian short film ‘Forouzan’ has won an award at the Melbourne City Independent Film Awards.

Hossein Ghoorchian won the Sound Design Award for ‘Forouzan’ directed by Mir-Abbas Khosravinejad.

‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the night attacks by thieves.

The MCIFA is a monthly online film competition for filmmakers worldwide, with an annual event and awards ceremony in the heart of Melbourne.

The festival will also present the Best of the Year award to the top Feature Film.

The annual festival winners are scheduled to be announced on October 14, 2018.
